Santiago de Compostela, Spain – October 2026 – Oncostellae, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing innovative therapies for immune-mediated diseases, today announced its participation in UEG Week 2026, taking place in Barcelona, Spain, from October 17–20, 2026.
UEG Week, organized by United European Gastroenterology, is one of the leading international congresses in digestive health, bringing together gastroenterologists, researchers, pharmaceutical companies and other healthcare professionals to discuss the latest advances in gastrointestinal diseases and their treatment. The 2026 edition will take place at Fira Barcelona Gran Via and online.
During the event, the Oncostellae team will engage with pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies, clinical experts and potential investors to discuss the company’s development programs and opportunities for collaboration. Particular emphasis will be placed on OST-122, Oncostellae’s lead program for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), as the company prepares for the next stage of clinical development.
“UEG Week provides an excellent opportunity to connect with leading experts in gastroenterology and potential development partners as we advance OST-122,” said Guido Kurz, PhD, CEO of Oncostellae. “Following encouraging Phase IIa proof-of-concept results in ulcerative colitis, we are focused on advancing this differentiated, gut-restricted therapy toward Phase IIb and exploring its potential in additional underserved IBD indications like perianal fistulizing Crohn’s disease and microscopic colitis.”
Oncostellae is preparing for a Phase IIb clinical study of OST-122 in ulcerative colitis. Designed to achieve high local drug exposure throughout the gastrointestinal tract while minimizing systemic exposure, OST-122 aims to combine effective control of inflammation with an improved safety profile. The company is seeking strategic partners and financing opportunities to support the continued development of OST-122 and bring this novel therapy closer to patients.
